Mount Bisoke

Located in Volcanoes National Park, Mount Bisoke towers at 3711m over the surrounding landscapes. There are 4 other volcanoes in the region, and this is now the only area in the world where mountain gorillas can be found in the wild. At the top, there's also a treat of the crater lake. When we signed up for this hike we were told that gorilla sightings were possible but unlikely. We were extremely fortunate to see 8 of them up close, right on the trail!
