Rivers and Mountains
These are 2 things that dominate the Icelandic landscape. We just pulled off the side of the road to sleep here one night- it was lovely. The water was so cool and refreshing.
These little things are so resilient and can pop up anywhere. Impressive.
Icelandic Waves are bizarre in that they crash right on the shore instead of further out. You can see beach in the lower right part of the photo. They make a lot of noise when they hit.
Nope, just another wave in Iceland.
Another interesting thing about Iceland is that the waves at this beach all look like this one, having a second one on the back of the first. Not sure why.
I didn't find Santa, but have to admit that the remote recesses of Iceland could make an ideal launch point for such an operation... Though it might be hard for them to get all the supplies.
I wasn't able to get it on camera, but he took off into the sky a few strides after this photo....
Good thing there are no cars. But really... there are no cars this far from Reykjavik.
That guy is definitely the leader of this herd.
