To me, this picture represents hope emerging from darkness. What does it mean to you?
Treptower Park
Soviet War Memorial, built in 1949 as the central war memorial of East Germany. On one side is a weeping mother representing the many lives lost in WWII, and the distant statue is a soldier carrying a German child over a broken swastika.
